LOXI: The Best Way for Cyclists to Store Their Gear
LOXI is a Kickstarter project that we at GEARCTRL are super-pumped about. LOXI isn’t just a waterproof trunk bag for your bicycle. It is an engineering feat. LOXI secures your most important valuables while they are still attached to your bike, no matter where you are.
LOXI will hold your accessories for you, on your bike, in a theft- and water-resistant compartment.

How LOXI Works
LOXI combines a rear trunk bag with a bike lock. The lock forms the neck of the bag, which rolls down to seal the bag from water or from prying hands. The lock can then be closed to attach the bag to your bike itself, securing all your valuables.
The Lock
The lock itself is a 12mm diameter cable paired with a 4-digit combination lock. When closed, it forms a 13cm diameter ring, which acts as the neck of the bag. This lock is highly durable and further protected by the layers of cut-resistant fabric rolled around it.
The Bag
We know what you’re thinking: even if would-be thieves can’t cut the lock, wouldn’t they just slash open the bag? Not so fast. The bag is specially engineered with three layers to prevent this from happening. The outer layer is made of waterproof PVC canvas. The middle layer is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, which is in fact 40% stronger than Kevlar.1 This makes it incredibly difficult to slice with a typical knife. Simply roll it up, hook it onto your bike, and you are good to go.
Options
The LOXI is available in two sizes, 4L and 9L.
The 4L is convenient for smaller accessories like a bike-repair kit or a foldable bike helmet. The 9L is more than twice the size, and can hold all your most important gear– from that innovative helmet to your bike pump, hard knuckle gloves, an emergency flashlight, repair kit, and even a raincoat!
